Two individuals are now facing charges following a suitcase robbery where a substance thought to be pepper spray resulted in harm at London's Heathrow Airport.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, are accused of two counts of robbery and charges for using a harmful chemical, according to official statements.

These accusations come after an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on the weekend. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their suitcases taken after getting out of a car park lift, police said.

A three-year-old girl was caught up in the incident during the incident. Five people went to hospital for treatment and were eventually allowed to go home.

This event – described by police as was not part of a series and deemed non-terroristic – caused disruptions to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport road tunnel and the T3 parking area for a short time.
