The rising star boasts impressive social media following
The young golfer can count on plenty of well-known backers as she begins her professional golf debut later this week.
The 18-year-old athlete, who is connected to Donald Trump, was granted a special exemption to participate at Florida's Annika event in the Sunshine State.
Her grandfather, a passionate golfer, possesses multiple golf courses and often plays against his granddaughter.
"He's pretty good. I shouldn't elaborate but we have some close matches," she stated.
She mentioned that Trump, unable to come, told her: "Simply don't get nervous."
"My grandpa basically advised me to compete and have fun," she added.
"From my perspective, he's simply a regular grandfather. He can't make it this weekend. He's busy with world affairs, so he's rather occupied."
As an amateur, Kai has competed in a mere three competitions recently and holds ranking 461 in AJGA listings.
Yet she can receive tips from golf legend, who is dating Kai's mother.
"He represents the best player globally," Kai expressed.
"And he's a more impressive individual. He advised me to compete, relax, and go with whatever happens."
She'll challenge some of the biggest names in professional golf at the Annika, such as second-ranked the champion, British Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner Lilia Vu.
The LPGA stated that Kai's presence brings golf to different demographics, particularly with the next generation.
Kai boasts millions of followers and just introduced her own clothing and lifestyle company.
Her first tee time at late afternoon GMT.
