Jet Carrying Pete Hegseth Forced to Land in UK Because of Crack in Cockpit Window

A plane ferrying the US defense secretary was forced to make an emergency landing in the UK on Wednesday following a fracture was identified in the aircraft's cockpit window, according to an official announcement which verified that the secretary was unharmed.

"The plane landed in accordance with standard procedures and all individuals on the flight, among them Secretary Hegseth, is unharmed," a spokesperson commented in a social media post.

The secretary was coming back from a quick journey to Brussels at the time.

This event is not the first time that a US military aircraft ferrying a top government figure has suffered equipment failures.

In a previous incident this year, a United States Air Force aircraft transporting the US Secretary of State to the city in Germany was forced to head back to the US capital after encountering a mechanical problem.
